Yogurt may reduce symptoms of autism
Another study will be released soon about the benefits of consuming probiotics, like those found in yogurt. The article is set to be released in the scientific journal Cell by Paul Patterson at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, California. His research examines how probiotics can affect autism by including them in the diet of mice who exhibit symptoms similar to autistic humans, with the idea that probiotics may be able to correct some gastrointestinal problems that are associated with autism. He found that a diet including probiotics can prevent or reduce autistic behaviors in mice, which may pave the way for their use in human diets.
